i watched this yesterday for the first time (after talking for two years about how urgently i needed to watch it). i thought it was absolutely fantastic… subtle, thrilling… all that junk… on the level of the other david cronenberg film with viggo mortensen, ‘a history of violence‘. i might need to get the dvd.
