Filed under: art, i was born in the wrong decade, i'm serious, roald dahl, william eggleston

photo by william eggleston (a personal hero). i wish one could still get a drink like this on a plane. in the words of roald dahl (another personal hero), “nowadays you can go anywhere in the world in a few hours, and nothing is fabulous any more.”

I also adore william eggleston, roald dahl and this photo. the first time I saw this photo was in a New Yorker accompanying an article by miranda july about sitting next to someone famous on a plane.
