drrink to-day and drown all sorrow,
you shall perhaps not do’t to-morrow;
best while you have it use your breath,
there is no drinking after death.
wine works the heart up, wakes the wit,
there is no cure ‘gainst age, but it;
it helps the head-ach, cough, and tissick,
and is for all diseases physick.
then let us swill, boys, for our health;
who drinks well, loves the common-wealth:
and he that will to bed go sober,
falls with the leaf still in october.

“you’re looking at a species of flimsy little two-legged animals with extremely small heads whose name is man… and he will remain here in his cage with the running water and the electricity and the central heat as long as he lives.”
-rod serling in the twilight zone: “people are alike all over”
the times, they are a-changing. try to stay young.
let’s take this month to honor anthony stewart head (whose birthday is feb. 20th).
here are some reasons why we here at the den truly love tony:
#1. he is rupert “ripper” giles. enough said.
#2. a man who wears tweed is a man indeed. especially a brit. (this ties into #1)
#3. his unbelievably expressive face.
#4. “you can’t resist my coffee”: the gold blend years.
(#4 and a half. his voice – singing and speaking – is divine.)
#5. little britain, rocky horror, merlin: the man is weird and fearless.
#6. animal rescue/welfare efforts & other adorable things.
#7. after long hours of trolling the internet doing “research,” we have not seen even a hint to suggest that he is anything but a kind, hilarious, gracious, clever guy who really enjoys acting. we dig this.
photographic evidence for each reason listed will be posted over the course of some weeks. enjoy (we know you will).
